Exterior carpentry

Writer: Lorenzo GardnerLorenzo Gardner

During the repair process, it was necessary to carefully remove the damaged window trim, cedar clapboards, and sections of plywood that had been affected by water infiltration, subsequently attracting ants and termites. The deterioration caused by these pests not only compromised the structural integrity of the building but also posed a potential hazard to its occupants. By replacing these components, the integrity and aesthetics of the windows were restored, ensuring that the property was once again secure and visually appealing. Moreover, implementing preventive measures to address water infiltration and pest infestations will help safeguard the property against future damage, preserving its longevity and value.

Great post on exterior carpentry! I’ve found that quality materials really make a difference in both look and durability. Proper gutter maintenance is just as important for protecting the home.
